• Seeking family medicine physician with emergency medicine experience
• Schedule: 7a–7p; 12, 24, or 36-hour shifts
• Coverage: 3–5 shifts per month
• Facility: 16-bed hospital with 9 ED beds, level III trauma center
  • Two RNs on shift at all times
  • Specialties Onsite: Cardiology (2 days/wk), Ortho (1 day/wk), General Surgery (5 days/wk)
  • Call Room: Private space with a desk, bed, and shower
  • EMR: Medtech Expanse
• Volumes:
  • 6,204 annual ED volumes
  • Avg. 18 patients per shift
• Responsibilities: ER physician responsible for codes; manage emergent situations until hospitalist arrives (within 30 minutes). Daytime admissions go to the patient's PCP, night/weekend admissions to the on-call hospitalist. Face-to-face handoff at end of shift. 
• Requirements: BC/BE, ATLS and ACLS required, PALS preferred but not required. 
•  All Travel, Lodging and Malpractice will be covered
